The rebooted X-Files premieres as a six-part mini-series starting January 24 on Fox. The long-awaited second 'X-Files' film is finally a go, with 20th Century Fox setting a Jrelease date. I thought the rumors of a new X-Files movie were just that, rumors, but this post on Ain’t It Cool, referencing a post on Gillian Anderson’s personal website, gives the idea some weight. While the mythology arc served as the dramatic center of The X-Files' journey, with Mulder and Scully searching for the truth about a government conspiracy involving an alien invasion, it was the monster of the week episodes that truly served as its meat and potatoes. The second episode of the X-Files Revival entitled Home Again will not be a sequel to the fan favorite Season 4 episode Home. The X-Files saw Mulder and Scully battle many terrifying monsters of the week, but only a select few ever got to return for a sequel episode.
